Some projects.
First, I been busy making templates to copy the Gazelle, as created, dare I say invented, by Rhys. This is the first one built, and she's ready to be based and painted.
I had no real problems copying them, though Rhys never made a lot of pictures from them, so here and there i's guess work (top side and rear). Fortunately, I have quite a few boxes of E-25's so enough turrets. I prefer that version so I will build more. I am rather amazed at how low to the ground it is, it's quite boxy (this is a good thing) and looks realistic enough. I did add another headlight , mounted halfway into the box on the right fender.
Next up is the 222 Neu. A bit tougher, I'll tell you that. Originally I used the hull that is now the Gazelle for it, and cut it in the wrong way and location, so picked up another box and started this. I have only 1 picture of the resin kit, so again, it's a fair bit of guesswork. Shortened it, rearranged the engine hood and did some work on the side panels, quite some work on the rear axle as the normal holes can't be used. So far I still like it, but I doubt I will make more then 1, unlike the Gazelle. Crew is a 1/76 MMS figure. Not done yet, will take quite some work.
And a comparison of the 2 with 1 20mm fig for size.
Donor kit is the old Matchbox 234/2 Puma, now sold by Revell. Quite cheap, not too hard but damn those fragile axles.
